It's funny what a summer can do to a football club but following the Hospital Cup win against Bretforton Old Boys, Alveston can now firmly forget about the past years troubles.
The new look club both on and off the pitch have been rewarded just 5 games into the new season with a trophy and with it a huge statement to those doubters, players and others who left the club at end of the season. The spirit, desire and attitudes have all been on show all through the summer and this can only bode well for the season.
Bretforton played their part in a keenly contested final but goals from James Davies, Tom Coles and Lewis Fathers proved decisive and gave Alve then win they deserved on the night.
